About Marina Dickson
I have 3 professional passions - achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people we work with, building practice skills, knowledge and confidence through engaging, practical and quality training programs and leadership that is authentic and developmental. And I am very clear that all 3 of these passions stem from quality relationships. I am so happy to be connecting with people across Australia to best meet your needs and connect your passion and knowledge to practice.

A bit more about me
I have been working in the child, youth and family sector for the past 25+ years. My most recent roles included Executive and National Manager roles at Life Without Barriers and the Australian Childhood Foundation. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work, Graduate Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and a Master of Business Administration.
I have the privilege of living on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation and have worked with, and on the land of, many communities across Australia. During my career I have worked with schools, early childhood education, residential and family based care, child protection, child safeguarding services, government departments, the tertiary education sector and many others.
My focus has always been on my 3 areas of passion and I am excited to be offering services that support each of these areas. I have a theoretical grounding in neuroscience, narrative approaches, eclectic practice, quiet leadership and relational approaches to practice.
These connect with my core values of authenticity, kindness, quality, creativity and fun. I also have a commitment to, and strongly advocate for, lifelong learning.
My experience of developing and delivering training has been in both non-accredited and accredited training and I am very pleased that I can help organisations and indivdiuals to 'speak' RTO (Registered Training Organisations).
I do understand that selecting someone to deliver training to your teams, provide supervision to you or a group or entrust with developing resources or frameworks that can be used organisationally is a hugely significant process so I am very happy to discuss my experiences in more detail with you so you can feel confident in your choice.
Of course you can review some of my previous work by clicking here or view myLinkedIn profile.
I am also happy to chat about our amazing country and am pleased to let you know that all of the photos on this site come from my travels around Australia.
I look forward to connecting with you very soon. Marina
