Exploring authentic leadership
In the dynamic and challenging sectors in which we work, authentic leadership is a necessity - particularly as we continue to focus on the psychological safety of all those we lead. This learning program delves into the essence of authentic leadership - incorporating self-reflection and skills-based activities. We will explore key issues such as leadership styles, our core values, relational transparency and balancing authenticity with outcomes and organisational requirements.
Description
This is a truly participatory and discussion-based session because it acknowledges the skills and experience of all of those attending. You will be able to draw on and share your leadership experience and wisdom.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Articulate the key components of authentic leadership
- Identify your core values in leadership, including your own style
- Promote ethical leadership within a positive organisational or team culture
- Navigate challenges that emerge in being an authentic leader
- Implement specific leadership strategies grounded in your own attitudes, motivations, knowledge and skills
- Contribute to the learning of the other session participants
You will leave this session with practical strategies and resources you can use in your own leadership tomorrow.
